FASP holds new technique, design of floral art workshop

The workshop was conducted by Aisha Zahid, in which she demonstrated different methods of flower exhibits using wire mesh to support a network of floral material.

 

The segment of Flora and Fauna was demonstrated by Nageen Malik. In the segments there were five groups provided with the material and prop with a time limit of one hour to make a collage, and the members were requested to bring their own tool kit.

 

Nageen Malik held a segment consisted of detailed talk on two plants, Monstera Deliciosa and Citrus Mitis, and apprised the members about characteristics of these plants and how to use them in their floral designs.

 

An imposed class competition of floral arrangements was also organized among members of the society. All the members were provided with the floral material along with the props.

 

They were given an hour to make their exhibits. The participants skill fully created different designs in comparatively short time using different techniques.

 

Farhat Zaman and Anver Jehan Ansari performed the duty as judges.

 

According to results the display of the designs was divided into two parts, one category had the novices, in which work of Farhat Shahid, Fatima Tauqeer and Tahira Naveed was appreciated.

 

While in the category of senior members designs, the arrangements of Ghazala Abdullah, Aisha Zahid and Farhana Azim were valued.
