LEA sources said that law enforcement personnel deployed on picket signaled a suspected vehicle to stop in Gulistan area but the driver accelerated the vehicle and later left it and managed to flee.

During search of the vehicle, law enforcement personnel recovered 537 kg hashish.

The seized drug was told to be worth in millions of rupees in international market. Levies Force had been investigating into the matter. Further probe was underway.
