28 Jan, 2013

"The coalition government of Balochistan has been removed in an undemocratic and autocratic way. We demand that President of Pakistan lift the governor rule," Senator Maulana Hamdullah of JUI-F said on a point of order.

He said the governor rule was not the solution of problems adding that the hierarch of provincial government has yet been changed. Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police and other heads of law enforcement agencies are still working.

Deputy chairman Senate Sabir Baloch said the imposition of governor rule was necessary as the provincial government had utterly failed to improve law and order situation.

He said that the provincial government had not been dismissed but only suspended for a period of two months.

He said record of parliament could be checked that the leaders of coalition government of Balochistan had demanded strict action from the federal government to improve law and order situation in the province.
