FPCCI announces series of seminars

The issues to be discussed during these seminars would include energy crisis in the country and its possible solutions-- automobile sector, textile industry and its future prospects-- global warming and the impending water crisis-- food security and the global financial crisis and its impact on Pakistan, said a release here on Wednesday.

 

Iqbal Dawood Pakwala said that the aim of the seminars is to highlight the problems being faced and to evolve the possible solutions for economic prosperity and development of the country.

 

These seminars will discuss the recommendations of real stakeholders for onward submission to the respective Ministries and concerned organisations.

 

It is expected that the FPCCI seminars will bring together stakeholders, experts, researchers, academia, policy-makers and the concerned government departments at one forum providing a useful platform for discussion, interaction and exchange of ideas, he said.

 

The Acting FPCCI President said that FPCCI will organise a seminar on "The energy crisis in Pakistan and its possible solutions" in the first week of next month, which will be followed by other seminars with a gap of 15 days each.

 

The schedule of these seminars will be announced shortly. In this connection, the FPCCI has issued circular to its members advising them to actively participate in the seminars.

 

FPCCI has also invited research papers from interested stakeholders, researchers, academic institutes and others.

 

Interested participants/ speakers should also get themselves registered with FPCCI.
