ISLAMABAD: Almost 400 confirmed Covid-19 cases and four deaths were reported in the federal capital on Thursday. Confirmed cases in the federal capital have now reached 9,637 and total deaths due to Covid-19, 94.

Earlier on Wednesday, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Islamabad was recorded at 9,242 with a total of 90 deaths, which jumped to 9,637 on Thursday, showing an increase of 395 cases in 24 hours.

According to official data, 2,439 persons in Islamabad have recovered from the virus. On Tuesday, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration notified to seal I-8 Markaz, I-8/3, I-8/4, I-10/1, and I-10/2, due to rising number of coronavirus cases in these areas.

Three banks were sealed in I-8 Markaz on violation of lockdown orders on Thursday, the ICT administration said in a statement.
