DG Afghan Transit succumbs to COVID-19

Director General (DG) Afghan Transit Pakistan Customs Muhammad Zahid Khokhar passed away due to coronavirus.

As per details, Muhammad Zahid was under treatment for the last few days and died of coronavirus early in the day. Muhammad Zahid was one of the most senior officers of Pakistan Customs and was recently promoted to BS-22.

As per Zahid Khokhar's family, he was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi the previous day. He did not suffer from any other disease while other members of the family are not infected with the coronavirus.

In his last post on Facebook, Zahid Khokhar had reported on he had progressed in grade 22 and tested positive for coronavirus, and had requested prayers.

Zahid Khokhar was the most senior officer of the customs group. His body will be flown to Lahore this afternoon where he will be buried in Model Town.
