Gambhir others wish Afridi speedy recovery from Coronavirus

Cricket world has sent out their prayers and wishes for the former Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi, who was tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The legendary all-rounder shared the news on his official twitter handle saying: “I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah [God willing].”

As soon as the news broke out, many former and current cricketers showcased their support for Afridi.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a brief note, stating: “Get well soon. Praying for your swift recovery!”

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also kept aside his long-standing feud with Afridi and hoped that the latter would recover soon.

“I have political differences with Shahid Afridi. But I hope he recovers soon from coronavirus,” said Gambhir while talking to SportsTak.
