TSX edges higher on Wednesday as shares of precious metal miners were supported by higher gold prices, while investors awaited the US Federal Reserve's first projections on the economy post-coronavirus outbreak.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 9.22 points, or 0.06%, at 15,842.96.
