Over 35,000 stranded Pakistanis repatriated: Murad Saeed

(Karachi) The National Assembly was informed on Monday that over 35,000 stranded Pakistani Nationals have so far been repatriated from different parts of the world.

Highlighting details during the National Assembly session in Islamabad, Minister for Communication Murad Saeed said there are over 1, 22000 overseas Pakistanis who want to return to the country.

He said 73 dead bodies from United Arab Emirates and 46 from Saudi Arabia have also been brought back to the country.

The Minister said we have increased our flights after enhancing testing capacity for Covid-19 and building quarantine centres.

He said it is utmost effort of the government to bring back the stranded Pakistanis on emergency basis. He said we have also provided rations to the stranded Pakistanis.
