Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader has self-isolated at his home, the party Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif expressed his regret at the news and said that Abbasi is an asset and hoped he will recover soon.
