ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday urged international community including the United Nations to take immediate cognizance of gravity of human rights situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and hold India accountable for its crimes against the Kashmiri people under continuous inhuman lockdown for the last 10 months.

"Today marks completion of 10 months of continuous inhuman lockdown, military siege, communications blockade and unprecedented restrictions in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) imposed by Indian occupation forces, following Indian illegal and unilateral actions of 5 Aug 2019," Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said.

During the past 10 months, she pointed out that the Indian forces had violated every single right of the Kashmiri people and tried every possible tool of oppression to perpetuate India's illegal occupation of the IOJ&K.
