BoK opens Rast Islamic branch in Dargai

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Engineer Hamayun Khan, who was chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the branch in an impressive ceremony on Wednesday.

 

Besides, local MPA Syed Mohammad Ali Bacha, Managing Director, BoK, Bilal Mustafa and Executive Director, Javed Hashmat, Group Head, Islamic Banking.

 

Kamran Masood Khan, Group Head, Manpower, Mohammad Tariq Nasim, Islamic Business Development, Sohail Khan, Head Media Marketing, Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani, elites and business community attend the meeting at large.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Mohammad Hamayun Khan appreciated the valuable economic and social services of the bank and extended full cooperation to the management of the bank in the opening of more branches.

 

He also lauded the role of the BoK in the socio-economic uplift and improvement in the standard of life of the people in the province.

 

He in particular lauded the establishment of branches in the far-flung and backward areas of the province.      

 

In his welcome address, Managing Director, BoK, Bilal Mustafa said that the bank is determined in fulfilling the banking requirements of all section of society.

 

He said that Rast Islamic Banking is a traders' friendly network and the facility has been extended to all big cities of the country. He said that this year they will convert more branches into this mode of banking.

 

BoK, he said has started Islamic banking in 2003 and since then it is serving the people through provision of Islamic banking.

 

He said that all matters of Islamic banking is supervised under a policy framework announced by the State Bank of Pakistan.
