Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday, she said that 119 corona patients in Lahore and 113 in Rawalpindi are in critical condition.

The health minister maintained that if a patient is tested positive for corona then tests of his other family members will also be conducted.

Rashid said the data from the summary sent to the chief minister consisted of exploited figures.

She said, "We were told to conduct swab sampling by the cabinet committee. The working group had experts from different universities and they carried out 31,000 sampling, 21,000 of which were conducted in Lahore."

"Pakistan cannot afford to have a prolonged lockdown," she remarked.

She added that people should take precautionary measures. "You have no idea who has Covid-19. The more precautions you can take the better it is."
