imageLAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 37.23 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5639.16 points and closed at 5601.93 points.

The market's overall situation, however, slightly corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.434 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.413 million shares, showing an upward move of 20,500 shares.

While, out of the total 96 active scrips, 21 moved up, 13 shed values and 62 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day was Fazal Textile Mills Limited, Indus Motors Company Limited and Shell Pakistan Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 18.29, Rs. 10.13 and Rs. 8.30 respectively.

Mari Petroleum Company, Nishat Mills Limited and Maple Leaf Cement Factory lost their per share value by Rs. 29.05, Rs. 3.50 and Rs. 1.93, respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included K-Electric Limited with 333,500 shares, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited with 237,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 179,000 shares.
