Mamnoon Hussain passed on good wishes to Pakistan’s cricket team and Boxer Muhammad Waseem to bringing up a success to country.
According to local media report, on Monday, President Mamnoon Hussain congratulated Pakistan cricket team over its historic win at the famous Lords cricket ground against England in the first test match. The President said that the hard work of team had led to success and expressed hope that they would keep it up.
Test was more than a game for every player on the ground to the spectators witnessing the history in the stands as the country’s dented pride was restored at the same venue where it was dented six years ago.
President also applauds Boxer Muhammad Waseem who recently won WBC silver flyweight title and made Pakistan proud.
Winner Mohammad Waseem is now placed at fourth position in world professional boxing rankings. He is the first Pakistani boxer to win the title. He knocked out his opponent in the first professional fight of his career back in 2015.
