Pakistan’s young and talented actress Mawra Hocane, who recently came in the limelight when she shows her support towards a Bollywood movie ‘Phantom’, has ruthlessly criticized Pakistan’s veteran actor Shaan Shahid.
On a tweet by someone who questioned her patriotism by asking how she could work in Bollywood when India is making films like ‘Phantom’, to which she replied, “The movie is against terrorism and I’m against terrorism. It’s about the incident where humanity suffered”.
Shaan launched a #BanMawra campaign when she tries to defend Saif Ali Khan’s recent release ‘Phantom’. In reply to that, 22-year-old actress posted a lengthy letter for Shaan on her official Facebook handle.
While, talking to a local media, she also said, “I was shocked, surprised and hurt. I am the most-followed and loved celebrity on social media. To see a hate campaign triggered by a fellow actor was painful. The backlash was so severe it scared me. So I thought I would delete the tweets which would put an end to it. But it didn’t”.
Though, it was a sudden outburst by a Pakistan starlet but the way it has been done to one of the veteran actors of Pakistani film industry was quite offensive. Mawra’s fans react adversely on her ‘Open Letter to Shaan’.
