According to American media reports the makers of HBO fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ have revealed they are planning to end the show in its seventh season.
The show’s co-creator David Benioff talked about how the seven seasons of the show will complement its story.
Benioff told Entertainment Weekly, "If we're going to go seven seasons, which is the plan, season 4 is right down the middle, the pivot point."
"I would say it's the goal we've had from the beginning. It was our unstated goal, because to start on a show and say your goal is seven seasons is the height of lunacy. Once we got to the point where we felt like we're going to be able to tell this tale to its conclusion, that became goal. Seven gods, seven kingdoms, seven seasons. It feels right to us."
Even co-creator D.B. Weiss earlier revealed to Vanity Fair that they don’t want to drag the epic drama to the extent of finishing its charm.
"I think the desire to milk more out of it is what would eventually kill it, if we gave in to that," Weiss told Vanity Fair.
The show, which is an adaptation of George R. R. Martin's novel-‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, will return for its fourth season next month on April 6th.
