Disgraced fast-bowler Mohammad Amir has been fined 150% match fee for two incidents of misbehavior against PIA.
According to NDTV Sports, The match referee in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy qualifying tournament fined both Amir and discarded Test batsman Faisal Iqbal for clashing on the field during the match between PIA and Sui Southern Gas. “Apparently Amir was sledging Faisal and some other PIA team players during the match and at one stage the situation got out of hand and the latter reminded him of his deeds and called him a 'Chor' (thief)”.
He said that Amir had retorted back by advising Faisal to stop relying on his uncle (Javed Miandad) and to play cricket on his own.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board official confirmed that “First he was fined 50% of his match-fee for misbehaving and then was slapped with a 100% match-fee ban after a spat with Faisal, who has been warned”.
Mohammad Amir along with Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif have cleared their bans from international cricket over a spot fixing scandal in 2010. Recently, Amir has been named in the foreign players list for the upcoming 2015 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) along with 52 other players from his country.
