LONDON: England were 175 for three in their second innings, a lead of 41 runs, at lunch on the fourth day of the first Test against New Zealand at Lord's on Sunday.
Alastair Cook, the England captain, was 69 not out and Joe Root 58 not out, with their unbroken stand for the fourth wicket so far worth 101.
This is the first of a two-Test series.
