ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE-10) here on Wednesday witnessed bearish trend as the index shed 23.31 points to close at 2810.47 as compared to the previous day's trading.

Stock Analyst, First National Equity Pvt Ltd, M.M Hassan told APP that the profit taking was seemed in the local markets because the jobbers had off-loaded positions.

He said that since last some consecutive sessions, the investors took the entry in the markets for short time and preferred exit by selling at the strength.

"The major positions was taken to be seemed in the low priced- stock but with huge volume and these positions are always squared up at the end of day or next day", he added.

Total volume of shares traded was 177,602, which was down by 154,399 as compared to a day earlier's closing.

Out of 136 companies's shares traded, the price of 63 was increased while the price of 73 decreased.

The price of top gainer Sanofi Aventis Pakistan was increased by Rs.8.12 while the price of top loser Unilever Pakistan decreased by Rs.74.30.

Lafrage Pakistan Cement, Fauji Cement and Lotte Pakistan PTA remained volume leaders on Wednesday, with volume of 69,302, 49,000 and 25,000 shares respectively.
