ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Business Advisory Committee on Tuesday decided that the general discussion on the budget would continue till the end of next week.
The committee, which met here with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi in the chair, discussed the agenda for the budget session.
Taking into account suggestions by representatives of the political parties in the National Assembly, the committee decided that the sittings of the House would be held from Monday to Friday in morning except Monday. It was also decided that the question hour and other legislative business would remain suspended till the passage of the budget.
The meeting was attended by Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Finance and Revenue, Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Defence, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister for Professional and Technical Education, Ghous Bux Mahar, Minister for Privatization, Engineer Shuakatullah, Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Dr. Abdul Kadir Khanzada, Jameela Gillani and Laeq Muhammad Khan.
