imageISLAMABAD: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Rector Prof Dr Masoom Tuesday stressed the need to extend cooperation, collaboration and support with each other.

Delivering a lecture in "1st Asia and Pacific Countries Muslim Religious Leaders' Summit" titled Unity in Multiplicity; Rethinking "WISDOM and PEACE" being held in Turkey, he highlighted issues, challenges and future prospects of education in Muslim countries.

He was of the view that, our universities and educational institutions should expand their expertise and experiences; they also need to develop strong educational ties and linkages with each other across the Muslim world.

Rector IIUI emphasised to focus on quality of research and promote research culture in our universities and institutions which is dire need of time.

Dr Masoom said country's Madrassah education should be integrated with contemporary education system and the students over there must be given opportunity to stand with university students.

"They must be brought in main streams with comprehensive strategy and dynamic approach as no religion discourages the scientific education". Rector IIUI said.

He said that, while referring to IIUI academics programs, effort are being made in Pakistan to bring Madrsaah students in main stream, sessions of training for teachers of Madrassah are arranged at IIUI Dr Masoom proposed comprehensive package of reforms and restructuring of Madrassah internationally start from primary level, said a message received.

He said every country must follow the guidelines and learn from the experiences from Imam Khateeb Institution, Turkey.

Rector IIUI extended his heartiest thanks to host institution on inviting and facilitating participants to interact at international level.
