For Shah Rukh Khan ‘work is his worship’, the king of romance is constantly working for his upcoming film ‘Raees’ even after some serious injuries. However, the monsoon showers are said to have played spoilsport in the shooting of the movie.
The 49-year-old actor, who is working tirelessly for the Rahul Dholakia directorial venture, expressed his exasperation on Twitter. “Feel awful, the whole of ‘Raees’ team is fighting against rain & time, my injury hampering Ravi Varma, Rahul & Maneka even more. Damn”.
Shah Rukh was advised rest by doctors, but the actor chose to work in pain as the crew had to finish some action scenes before the monsoon arrived. His left knee doesn’t seems to be in best shape and he underwent surgery on May 21, but he has been so dedicated towards his work that he didn’t take a single day off from the shoot.
According to Dr. Sanjay Desai, “Mr Khan has been suffering from repeated pain and swelling of left knee over the last several months. His surgery confirms chondral wear of the patella, which is due to repeated injuries over the last few years,” Times of India reported.
Stunt director Ravi Varma is looking after the action scenes in the film, which also stars Farhan Akhtar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. Co-produced by Farhan’s Excel Entertainment and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Raees’ is expected to release on Eid next year.
