‘Waar’ which is one of the highest grosser of Pakistan will hit theatres yet again with its sequel. Pakistani action thriller will return to big screen hopefully by next year.
‘Waar’ revolves around the efforts of the Pakistani army and intelligence forces as they try to stop a terrorist attack from occurring within the country. The film's title ‘Waar’ is an Urdu language word meaning ‘to strike’. ‘Waar’ is primarily an English language film with some dialogues in Urdu.
According to media reports, ‘Waar 2’ will be a joint collaboration between Mind Works Media and ARY Films, and is all set to go on floor within few months. The movie will be shot in a number of international locations including Russia, Yugoslavia, UK and Turkey and will cast both local and international actors.
However, there are some changes in the cast of the movie as revealed by Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar. Recently on a chat show ‘Tonight with HSY’ Ayesha Omar revealed that she will be playing a major role in ‘Waar 2’ along with veteran Shaan Shahid. While other cast of the movie is yet to be disclosed.
Previously, the movie starred Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ayesha Khan, Ali Azmat, Misha Shafi, Shamoon Ali Abbasi and Shaan Shahid in the lead roles.
‘Waar 2’ will be helmed by producer and writer Hassan Rana yet again. With the release of movies like ‘Waar’ and ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ it is quite evident that if we make a good films, it will surely become a massive hit across the globe.
‘Waar 2’ is expected to hit theatres somewhere next year.
