‘Avatar’ director James Cameron and ‘Gravity’ director Alfonso Cuaron have praised Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Hollywood debut ‘Broken Horses‘.
‘Broken Horses’ marks the first time an Indian filmmaker has written, produced and directed a mainstream Hollywood film. Fox Star Studios is distributing and marketing the film in India.
According to media reports ‘Avatar’ director said, “‘Broken Horses’ is an artistic triumph. Beautifully written, acted and imaged, this film wraps slowly around you like a king snake and squeezes”.
The greatness of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s films comes from the act that all his characters are driven by love. The teaser trailer of the film has been released with Chopra’s latest production venture ‘PK’. “The movie ‘Broken Horses’ was quite a challenge, but the challenge turned out to be a lot of fun. It was very fulfilling for me as a filmmaker”, Vidhu Vinod stated.
Chopra has previously worked on films like ‘Parinda’, ‘1942 A Love Story’, ‘Parineeta’, ‘Mission Kashmir’, ‘3 idiots’ and the famous ‘Munna bhai’ series. The film has an international star cast including Vincent D'Onofrio, ‘Star Trek’ actor Anton Yelchin, Chris Marquette and Maria Valverde.
The film is set to release on April 10, next year.
