Hrithik Roshan is currently riding high on the success of his recent film ‘Bang Bang’. The actor will be next seen in the period drama ‘ Mohenjo Daro’ which is being helmed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. But the film’s shooting seems to have already run into trouble due to Hrithik’s recent arm injury.
He injured his shoulder while working out in the gym and the doctor has strictly advised him to stay on a six-week rest. But Ashutosh has only given him an additional three weeks.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ is a physically demanding film with some challenging action sequences which will be shot in the first schedule itself. Both Ashutosh and Hrithik being the perfectionists that they are did not want to shoot these scenes with a body double.
According to media reports Sunita Gowarikar, producer and wife of Ashutosh confirmed this news and said that, "Yes, it is true that we have postponed the shoot of ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Both Ashutosh and I wanted Hrithik to recuperate fully before beginning the film since we plan to start with action sequences. Now we will start shooting in the first week of January. It is important to us that Hrithik is 100 percent fit and shifting the shooting dates by a few weeks makes a lot of sense”.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ is an epic love story, set during the ‘Indus Valley Civilization’ jointly produced by Disney India's Studio business and Ashutosh Gowariker Production Pvt. Ltd. (AGPPL).
The film will mark the debut of model Pooja Hegde who will be seen playing the female lead in this film.
