MADRID: Spain's trade deficit fell 2.9 percent in October from a year earlier to 1.8 billion euros ($1.88 billion), the economy ministry said on Thursday.
Exports fell 1.6 percent in October against the previous year, less than the average decline across the European Union, while imports fell 1.7 percent, the ministry said.
The trade deficit from January to October fell 26.6 percent to 15 billion euros, the lowest figure for that period since 2013 and the second lowest since 1997.
