ISLAMABAD: Secretary General, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that Prime Minister's Youth Business Loan Scheme would prove a milestone for economic development of the country.
Talking to a delegation of provincial coordinators of the Loan Scheme headded by senior coordinator of scheme Aqeel Najam Hashmi that called on him here at Central Secretariat of PML-N, he said people linked with small business play a key role in the development of any country.
The loan scheme would not only provide self-employment opportunities to youth but also promote small business industry in the country, he added.
Jhagra said the PML-N government believed in promoting trade instead of just giving aid to people adding that the loan scheme was a step towards that direction.
The PML(N) leader said transparency would be ensured in the scheme and only genuine and serious people would benefit from the scheme.
The PML-N government, he said was giving serious consideration to youth so that they could play an active role in economic development of the country.
Aqeel Najam Hashmi said ensuring transparency in accordance with Prime Minister's directions would be top most priority of his team.
He said monitoring committees had been formed at the district level to facilitate the people.
