KARACHI: Gold jumped by Rs 686 to close at Rs 48,000 per 10 grams in the local market on Thursday as its international price improved to $ 1,568 an ounce, market sources said.
According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also increased by Rs 800 to close at Rs 56,000. Market sources said that weaker rupee also contributed to the rise in local bullion price.
Silver closed higher at Rs 831.42 per 10 grams.
