Pakistani tech sector remains a flourishing industry, with a number of successful startups budding every year or so. Six such startups will now be traveling to United States to participate in the ATX+PAK Launch Entrepreneurship Exchange Program.
As reported by the local media, the program will be held in Austin, Texas. The participating startups are all part of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Plan X platform.
The startups include: Affordable.pk, Babyplanet.pk, BookMyUmrah.pk, ClubInternet, Virgin Teez and MangoBaaz.
As per PITB, PlanX is a technology accelerator for mid-stage start-ups. Selected tech-startups are “empowered by providing access to multiple funding channels, specialized network of mentors and global exposure.”
MangoBaaz
MangoBaaz is an online information and entertainment company, producing original and curate content.
Affordable.pk
Fashion enthusiasts come together at Affordable.pk, as its website states is “Pakistan’s 1st fashion classified marketplace where fashion enthusiasts come together to buy, and sell, designer, brands, labels & accessories from each other’s wardrobe.”
Babyplanet.pk
As the website name suggest, is an online store offering baby and kids products, without the need of leaving your home.
BookMyumrah.pk
This startup provides all travel details i.e. information about flights, hotels and travel packages to help Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarat pilgrims.
ClubInternet
This internet platform wants to provide basic internet services to everyone.
Virgin Teez
An e-commerce startup, which deals with selling apparel and home decor products.
It is pertinent to inform that days back a startup from Pakistan, the music platform Patari, received the 2nd position at a global event.
