ISLAMABAD: State Minister Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri on Friday staged walked out of the Senate against the Sindh government apathy to control kidnapping for ransom incidents on Shikarpur-Sukkur-Jacobabad highway.
Speaking on a Point of Order, Abdul Ghafoor Hairderi said that workers of his party and other people of the areas were being kindnapped for ransom but the provincial government was not taking any heed to address the issue.
He said that Shikarpur-Sukkur-Jacobabad highway was closed for the past three days and the administration was not taking any steps against the dacoits.
Meanwhile, Chairman Standing Committee on Water and Power Muhammad Zahid Khan presented report of the committtee for period from March 21 to September 9, 2013 in the House.Later, the House was adjourned to meet again on Monday at 3 pm.
