LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 8.53 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5604.42 points and closed at 5595.89 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 490,200 shares to close against previous turnover of 872,600 shares, showing a downward slide of 382,400 shares. While, out of the total 73 active scrips, only 7 moved up, 24 shed values and 42 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day was Ferozsons Laboratories Limited, Pakistan Refinery Limited and Glaxo Smith Kline Pakistan by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 4.66, Rs. 3.14 and Re 0.50 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Pakistan Oil Fields Limited and Treet Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs. 9.00, Rs. 7.00 and Rs. 3.71 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 140,500 shares, Southern Electric Power Limited with 100,000 shares and Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 52,000 share.
