KARACHI: Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo has directed police officers to prepare a plan for providing extra- ordinary security during the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, especially 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, and ensure its implementation.
He issued this directive during a meeting with a 25-member delegation of religious scholars who called on the AIG at the Central Police Office and exchanged views on security arrangements and other issues regarding Rabi-ul-Awwal, said a handout issued here on Saturday.
The Karachi police chief also instructed to convene meetings with Ulema at Police Range and district levels for providing security to processions, rallies and other religious gatherings during the month.
