According to the Press Trust of India, Bollywood producer-director Karan Johar, who will be seen playing the main antagonist in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Bombay Velvet’, said he feels honoured to be directed by Anurag Kashyap.
Johar will don the role of a wealthy businessman in the film, which is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book ‘Mumbai Fables’.
The Press Trust of India quoted Johar as saying, "It was great to be directed by Anurag. My work was mostly with Ranbir Kapoor... So he is my favourite co-star and my director Anurag, Phantom Films and Fox Star Studio... thankful... I don't have choice."
KJo said he hopes his role in the film is not cut short and joked if it does he’ll never act again.
"I hope Anurag doesn't cut my role... If that happens then this will be my last appearance for this film. Anurag never scolded at me it was nice working with him," he added.
The neo noir drama, which features Anushka Sharma as the lead actress, is slated to release on November 28th, 2014.
