KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and furnace oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port Qasim on Monday where total number of seven ships namely MV. Maersk Georgia, MSC Jemima, MV. Heckor, AMS Pegauses II, Outrivaling-2, SFL Kent and MV. Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, corn and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 80,523 tonnes comprising 56,872 tonnes imports and 23,651 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,870 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
