Afridi eager to take on SRK’s Knight Riders

Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi is keen to watch his side Benoni Zalmi takes on Shah Rukh Khan’s Cape Town Knight Riders.

“Shah Rukh has roots in Peshawar. People are looking forward to see his team take on Benoni Zalmi. After the success of the Pakistan Super League, there is a buzz regarding the Global T20 League,” said Afridi, quoted Hindustan Times.

Afridi, expressed displeasure over the lack of cricket between Pakistan and India. Cricket between both neighbours remain a distant dream due to political tensions between both countries.

“Unfortunately, India and Pakistan cricketers won’t be playing against each other in the Global League and it would be left to Pakistan owners versus Indian owners,” he added.

Earlier, Fawad Rana, owner of the Durban Qalandars of South Africa’s T20 Global League, expressed his desire to buy Virat Kohli.
