ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Religious Affairs has started SMS service for Hajj Pilgrims to protect them from fraud of unauthorized and bogus Hajj tour operators.

In a statement, spokesperson of the ministry said details about tour operators could be obtained by sending SMS containing the first four digits of company license numbers to 8331, Radio Pakistan reported.

The Ministry has advised the intended pilgrims to check the quota and authenticity of Hajj operator before booking.
