imageIndian limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is considered among the best players in the cricketing world with a massive fan following that holds no boundaries.

This is not the first such incident of cross border affinity with cricket superstars, previously it was learnt Ripon Chowdhury, a young lad from the Indian state of Assam, was arrested by local police for wearing Shahid Afridi shirt, following a complaint filed by the youth wing of the ruling extremist Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

Pakistan's star all rounder Shahid Afirid blasted out to the news of Chowdhrys arrest, calling it a 'shameful' act. "It was shameful to arrest a fan for wearing my shirt," the 36-year-old told AFP. "Such incidents don't suit civilised people."

MS Dhoni, who is hailed as one of the best skippers of the current generation, enjoys a strong fan following among the South Asian Diaspora including Pakistani. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC World T20 in 2007, World Cup in 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
