US-stocksNEW YORK: US stocks opened higher Wednesday following solid earnings reports from leading technology companies.

Five minutes into trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 43.23 points (0.32 percent) at 13,755.44.

The broad-based S&P 500 edged up 0.59 point (0.04 percent) to 1,493.15.
