HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares fell 1.76 percent by the break Thursday, following losses on Wall Street stoked by concerns over the US Federal Reserve's huge monetary easing scheme.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 409.78 points to 23,897.63 on turnover worth HK$40.04 billion ($5.16 billion).
