imageOn Friday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been announced Mickey Arthur as Head Coach Pakistan National Cricket Team.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, Following detailed consultations on this matter at the last Board of Governors' meeting and further telephone consultations by the PCB Chairman with BOG members, discussions with Mickey Arthur were initiated and he has confirmed his acceptance of the post of Head Coach of the Pakistan National Cricket team."

Former England coach Peter Moores had also turned down an opportunity earlier to succeed Waqar Younis as the new Pakistan coach. Moores had said he declined a chance to return to international coaching after England sacked him for the second time last year.

Following Waqar's resignation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) formed a two-man committee comprising ex-captains Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja to conduct the search for a new coach, they shortlisted Australia’s Stuart Law and his fellow countryman Dean Jones, England’s Andy Moles and South African Mickey Arthur. Recently, Stuart Law has turned down Pakistan Cricket Board’s offer to coach Pakistan.

Finally, Mickey Arthur appointed as Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, confirmed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
