No Pakistani has yet applied for the post of head coach of the national cricket team while five foreign coaches have shown interest in the job of national team’s head coach.
According to local media sports website, the foreign players who have applied for the said post are Australia’s Dean Jones, Tom Moody, Stuart Law and Jamie Siddons and South African Mickey Arthur.
Earlier, former Pakistani pace man Aqib Javed has denied applying for Pakistan head coach, the post was vacant when Waqar Younis resigned few days back. Aqib Javed stated that he does not ‘trust’ on the two-member committee formed by PCB and thus he does not want to apply for the post.
Former batsman Mohsin Khan was also interested in the job of head coach but refrained to apply reasoning that Wasim and Ramiz were his juniors.
However, the last date of April 25 deadline for submission of applications for the post of national team's head coach.
