ISLAMABAD: Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq on Saturday said adherence to Pakistan's ideology was necessary to foil conspiracies against the country and Islam.
Inaugurating a two-day 9th National Medical Conference organised by Muslim Medical Mission here, he said that foreign elements were active to distance youth form the ideological basis of Pakistan.
Zafarul Haq said such conferences were helpful in creating awareness about the human problems and their solutions.
He lauded the Muslim Medical Mission, whose doctors served the needy in need of hour. Volunteers of Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation always carried out relief activities in far-flung areas during natural calamities, he added.
Non-governmental organizations of Islamic countries, including
Muslim Medical Mission and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation carried out excellent humanitarian work in drought-hit Taharpakar and flood affected areas of the country, which was appreciable, he added.
Raja Zafarul Haq said it was encouraging that experts, senior doctors, professionals associated with medical field and students were participating in the conference.
Vice Chancellor Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and Special Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Prof. Dr Javed Akram, Chairman Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation Hafiz Abdul Raoof and others also addressed the participants.
