CHICAGO: US wheat futures fell on Monday due to light demand for US supplies on the export market and pressure from declining corn futures, traders said.
* The benchmark Chicago Board of Trade September soft red winter wheat contract has fallen for four days in a row, losing 4.3 percent in that time.
* It was the longest losing streak for CBOT wheat since a four-day stretch in late May/early June.
* US Agriculture Department said weekly export inspections of wheat were 18.884 million bushels, down from 23.424 million a week ago. Analysts had expected export inspections of 19 million to 23 million.
* Ukraine has exported 802,400 tonnes of wheat so far in August, the country's Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.
* Russian ministers will discuss prospects for the drought-hit grain harvest on Friday as grain market participants mull the possibility of export restrictions.
* A Lebanese buyer bought 3,000 tonnes of high-quality Russian wheat for $333 a tonne c&f in the past week, European traders said.
* Russia's wheat export prices could rise further after winning new business from Egypt, grain analysts said.
