KP Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nasir Khan Durrani has said that personnel of Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) are our real heroes and symbol of pride. He said this while addressing a certificates distribution ceremony held at CPO Peshawar on Wednesday. Ceremony was arranged in honour of those BDU officials who successfully foiled an attempt of terrorist attack by defusing 60kg vehicle borne IED near Iranian Consulate, Peshawar the other day.
The IGP maintained that BDU is performing its duty in extreme dangerous circumstances. Durrani hoped that BDU personnel would response to the challenges in the same manner and spirit in the future too. On this occasion the police chief awarded the personnel with cash prizes and commendation certificates. They included Head Constables Sajjad Akhtar and Sabir Khan, Constables Iftikhar Ali, Muhammad Zaman, Habib Ullah, Muhammad Ilyas, Naseer Ahmad and Sami Ullah. AIG BDU Shafqat Malik was also present in the ceremony.
