QUETTA: About 2500 flood affected families have been delivered food items in Naseerabad and Jaffarabad areas of Balochistan, said Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) press release here Wednesday.
The PRCS statement said that 940 and 310 families in Manjoshori tehsil and ward 5 of Naseerabad district respectively were delivered food packets containing flour,rice,sugar,tea,salt and milk while 250 families of Rojhan Jamali,250 of Hafizabad,500 of Band Manak and 250 families of Daraigi areas of Jaffarabad were also provided with the relief items.
At least two water filtration plants were established in the affected areas from where at least 70 thousand liters of water is distributed daily among the flood-hit families.
The PRCS press release quoting Secretary PRCS Sabir Major (Rtd) Sardar Sabir Durani said that PRSC teams are busy assisting the calamity ravaged people.
