PESHAWAR: One person died and 17 received injuries due to a strong dust storm that lashed the provincial metropolis on Tuesday afternoon.
According to spokesman of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), biggest hospital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a dead body of a person, identified as Yousaf, was received. The deceased Yousaf was a worker at a marble factory where a boundry wall collapsed due to strong wind.
The whistle blowing storm uprooted several trees, roof tops, billboards and electricity polls causing injuries to several people. Due to uprooting of trees, electricity system is totally disrupt in the city.
A total of 17 injured were received at LRH with wounds due to uprooting of roof and plaster of old buildings.
