imageLAHORE: China's famous Company Harbin Electric International Chairman Mr Goa Yu called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here on Saturday.

During the meeting, development on 2,400 megawatt gas power project of Bhikhi and Baluki were discussed.

Shehbaz Sharif said: "Work on the CPEC and non-CPEC energy projects continued round-the-clock and we want early completion of Bhikhi and Baluki gas based power projects".

It is hoped that the single gas turbine of Bhikhi power plant would start working from the next month. In addition to gas power projects, 1320 megawatt coal power plant in Sahiwal was being completed in record time.

The CM said the resolve of Pakistani nation in war against terrorism was more stronger today.

The nation was united for the complete elimination of menace of terrorism and there was no place to hide in the country for terrorists and their facilitators, he added.

Chairman Harbin Electric International condemned the recent incidents of terrorism and expressed his deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives.

Talking to Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Mr Goa Yu said: "We are standing with the people of Pakistan in this time of sorrow and extend our sympathies to the heirs of martyred persons".

He said gas power projects were being completed with high quality and speed and added that the Punjab government was working speedily on different projects under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Chairman Harbin Electric International assured that Bhikhi and Baluki gas based power projects would be completed well in time.

The secretary energy, CEO national power management company, CEO Quaid-e-Thermal Power Ltd. Company and other officials were also present.
