imageKARACHI: As elsewhere, black day was observed in Karachi to protest against Indian atrocities on the Kashmiris in the held Kashmir.

Various political, religious and social organizations organized protest marches in different areas of the metropolis.

The Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba staged a protest rally which commenced from the D.J. Science College and concluded at the Karachi Press Club (KPC).

Amir Jamat-i-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, led the rally. The participants carried banners and placards condemning the Indian atrocities on innocent Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir.

Hafiz Naeem said on the occasion that martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani gave a new dimension to the freedom struggle in held Kashmir.

He also demanded of the international communities to take notice of the Indian atrocities and put pressure on India for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

A Kashmir Yekjehti rally was organized under the leadership of Dr. Saleh Zahoor who said that the Kashmiris be given the right of self determination in accordance with the United Nations' resolutions.

Several organizations staged demonstrations outside the KPC, condemned Indian atrocities and expressed solidarity with their brothers in occupied Kashmir.
