PESHAWAR: Senator Rubina Khalid has been nominated as member of the Provincial Task Force for Polio for her services to the cause of polio eradication.
With approval from the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, the Secretary Health has issued a notification in this regard.
The Task Force is the highest forum for decision making regarding the polio eradication program. Polio eradication has been declared national emergency by the government of Pakistan.
Senator Rubina Khalid recently visited district Torghar and met the polio affected child, her parents and the community there.
